The hard part about making a comic for me is the initial sketch. Throwing down some icky lines and text just to see what fits and how it would look is easy and takes a couple minutes, but actually sitting down and sketching three to six panels is hard. It never looks right.
I've changed my standards a little and have been settling for what I consider to be less than my best so I'm not erasing things as much. The hard part now is actually putting something on paper when I sit down with my clipboard.
But the actual status of the next comic is about 1/2 done with the sketch. Once I finish the sketch it's usually a one-sitting, ~five-hour run to getting it online. So hopefully I can finish the sketch soon. (By soon I mean at most two days--I do have work that I'm supposed to get paid for to do.)
