It didn't came out as obvious as I hoped, but I still think that in overall it came out nicely. The water was cold though. The detail on the shubberies and grass works pretty well, too. If it's a cliff, small trees and such at the bottom, and perhaps "distance daze" would help encourage that. Maybe even the shadow of the cliff, if the sun is right (but it looks like it's going the other way). In any case, in order to support himself his arms would be our further. The closer in your arms are, the harder it is to keep yourself pushed up.
