I bet that hair stuff took you a long time.
The curves on the mouth thingie are great! They help define the shape as round. Also, the perimeter (aka edge, the part that seperates the hair from the background) of the hair is very well detailed. It looks like you made each fiber rounded as it bends back behind, which does wonders for making them look 3D.
Then you made a mistake. I say a mistake, but you probably didn't know you could do it differently in the first place. The cross-contours you put on the hair itself are completely flat. If you made them circlar to conform to the bending of the fiber as it went around itself, it would make it pop out in a much more 3D fashion. Cross-contours (lines that follow the shape of an object) are perfect chances to give your pictures a 3D feel to them.
The variation you put in contours and other effects of the hair is real nice, too. |
