Thats right! SithDagger is insane, and started drawing human-like figures like he wants to!
I woke up at 6 this morning, and couldn't sleep, and felt like drawing, so I drew this.
Unlike her warcraft buddies, this Harpy is ready to go to school to learn, instead of living a life of a barbaric spellcaster, lol!
I think I did well, except for the feathered arm section, and her left foot, which is a bit messed up, otherwise I think I did good.
Oops, ran out of paper while trying to draw her left arm, oh well, enjoy! |

you could do with bending the arms and legs... and toes and wings.
If you tried walking like that you'd end up with dead arms and many stubbed toes. |

| Erm, Harpy's don't walk, they fly, and in the games there arms move up and down in a kind of stiff manor, lol, but yes, they are a bit stiff looking nonetheless, thanks for the tip. :) |

I like how you put the figure in motion, with the arms out and the legs moving and overlapping each other. You also have a lot of the basics of the female form down -- wider hips, about even width with the shoulders, thinner waist, etc.
While I would like to see the feathers better rendered (take a look at bird wings and how the feathers are arranged -- and see how it compares to a person's arm. [url] I think there's something you could focus on more.
A while back I did a crude drawing about the torso. It essentially has three parts: the ribcage, which is fixed, the stomach, which bends at the spine, and the hips, which are fixed. The ribcage and hip bend separately. I'd like to see some of that going on here, instead of having a stiff torso with the hips and chest aligned. [url] Not much info in that.
If you twist the ribcage and hips in opposite directions, the figure immediately becomes much more dynamic, like something exciting is happening. |
